Course Outline
If you are a practitioner working with children 0 -18 in York and you want to improve their outcomes by focusing on early intervention and prevention and working more effectively with your colleagues in other agencies then this course is for you! By the end of the session participants will:
· Have an overview of Integrated Working and the tools and processes available for use. (Information Sharing, YorOk Child Index, CAF and Lead Practitioner).
· Understand how CAF, Lead Practitioner, YorOK Child Index and Information Sharing are being implemented in York.
· Understand aims and principles of the Prevention Route Map.
· Know how to use CAF to identify and support need of children and young people in York.
· Understand why information sharing is important and recognise key principles of information sharing.
· Understand and be able to apply the local Common Assessment process and role of Lead Practitioner.
· Have the opportunity to practice completing a CAF.
Become an authorised user of the YorOK Child Index (if you have CRB clearance).
